Random Quotes I Found

The other day I was browsing my personal Google Drive (the artemisjinx one from like, high school) and found a random doc with all these quotes. I thought I’d share them. Keep in mind that most of these are not mine. I found them online.

Hope you enjoy!

She’s a mess of gorgeous chaos and you can see it in her eyes.

I trusted you….Do not trust people like me. I will take you to museums, parks and monuments. I will kiss you in every beautiful place so that you can never go back to them without tasting me like blood in your mouth. I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible, and when I leave, you will finally understand why storms are named after people.

She didn’t need to be saved, she needed to be found and appreciated for exactly who she was.

We had the right love at the wrong time.

We love that which we cannot understand because love itself cannot be fully comprehensible.

In a way, her strangeness, her naivete, her craving for the other half of her equation was the consequence of an idle imagination. Had she paints, or clay, or new the discipline of dance, or strings; had she anything to engage her tremendous curiosity or her gift for metaphor, she might have exchanged the restlessness and preoccupation with whim or an activity that provided her with all she yearned for. And like any artist with no art form, she became dangerous.

I wanted to tell you all my secrets but you became one instead.

I just have this idea stuck in my head that I have to protect you and make you happy. If that means sacrificing everything for you then I’ll do it. Maybe that’s what love means. I don’t know honestly.

I wear you around my neck because too often, your hands are those squeezing my throat.

I find myself torn between loving you and killing you. There are days where I do not know whether to follow the urge to either kiss you into bliss or destroy you into oblivion.

We’re not trapped, just inconveniently circumstanced.

You are terrifying and strange and beautiful, something not everyone knows how to love.

I’ll break every single rule if it means I get to be with you.

There is no pretending, I love you and I will love you until I die, and if there is a life after that, I’ll love you then.

I’d rather argue with you than kiss someone else.

Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there.

I did not die.

False Hope

I don’t know if I want you, he says, But I do know I don’t want anyone else to have you

It wasn’t good enough, I knew that. Honestly I did. In my mind, it was crystal clear. My heart, however was having a serious case of selective hearing. All it heard was I don’t want anyone else to have you. And within that – was a glimmer of hope, a spark of optimism.

Stardust

If you came to me with a face I have not seen, with a name I have never heard, I would still know you. Even if centuries separated us, I would still feel you. Somewhere between the sand and the stardust, through every collapse and creation, there is a pulse that echoes of you and I.

When we leave this world, we give up all our possessions and our memories. Love is the only thing we take with us. It is all we carry from one life to the next.
