“Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi

This song. . . .oh this song. It makes me tear up every. single. time. Every time. It’s a beautiful song. Then watching the video. . . . dear lord, it’s amazing. Tragic, but beautiful. Truly.

The video details a man (played by Peter Capaldi and yes, they are related, cousins I think) whose wife is dying. Then it shows another family with a mom who is sick and needs a new heart. At some point, the wife dies and the mom gets her heart. It’s a really sweet video.

“Saturday Nights” by Khalid ft. Kane Brown

First, I am a bit obsessed with Khalid. I love all his songs. There’s something about his voice that’s just. . . I can’t describe it. I hear his voice and I feel soothed and calmed, even if the song is sad.

This song is one of those rare ones where I actually like this remix better than the original song. Khalid and Kane Brown sing about a girl who has family problems. He tells her that he understands her and he loves her and he gets her. It’s a sweet song and has a great beat. It makes me wanna slow dance.

“Dancing with a Stranger” by Sam Smith ft. Normani

This song is somehow. . . . .sexy? Maybe it’s his voice. Maybe it’s her voice. Maybe it’s the video. Maybe it’s all three. But somehow, this song, which really is a bit sad, is kind of sexy.

Sam and Normani are talking about an old love and then going out to try and forget that love. And how she didn’t want to go out but now she is. And all she’s thinking about is him. And all she’s thinking about is him.

“I’ve Been Waiting” by Lil Peep & ILoveMakonnen feat. Fall Out Boy

So I heard this song on the radio and since then, I have been OBSESSED. Seriously, I’ve listened to this song on repeat at least 5 times everyday since I heard it like 4 days ago. It’s got an incredible beat to it. I just want to get up and dance every time I hear it and like wave my arms in the air, which is funny because it’s about a couple that has fallen apart.

Also, the video for this song is beautiful. My friend Caroline had to start the entire song over again to listen to the lyrics because she was so focused on the video.

“ME!” by Taylor Swift ft. Brendon Urie from Panic! At the Disco

Around two weeks ago Taylor Swift revamped her Instagram. Suddenly it was a pastel and clouds and all cutesy stuff. There were so many articles trying to interpret what the change on her social media and her style change meant. Maybe a return to innocence? Maybe she’s moving on? Maybe she’s being hopeful? Who knows! The world was going crazy trying to figure out what was going on. Then she posted a 4.26 on her Instagram and on all her songs on Spotify. Turns out she’s been working on this new secret song

I love the beginning of this video where you see the cute pastel pink snake and then boom, it changes into a bunch of videos. This song reminds me of almost the Spice Girls. That sort of boppy cutesy girl group stuff. I kind of like it. Also, it has Brendon Urie in it and he is life. End of discussion.
