Figuring Out My Life (Sorta, kinda, maybe?)

[I was going to have a featured image “Shoot for the stars” but my laptop – named Harry Potter – is being dumb thus no image.]

After much thought and consideration, I have figured out what I want to do.

Sorta.

Kinda.

Maybe??

I have an idea at least. That is what matters. Nothing is set in stone but at least I have a general idea.

First, I am going to continue with my double BA in journalism and professional writing. I will not be living on campus again however. It is too expensive. (Seriously, between the books and on campus cost, I feel like selling my soul to Hades would be better…)

Second, I am going to go on to get an MA in journalism and a minor in art. I am still undecided on what kind of art that is but I’ve got time. Why am I not doing an MA in professional? With what I am wanting to do, I feel that receiving a MA in professional writing wouldn’t be beneficial.

Third, what do I want to do? I’m so glad you asked. I have several ideas. They are in order of importance. One being the big one and so on.

  1. Art magazine – obvious, I have talked to several people about this. I figured I can start out as a journalist (I have no problem with that at all) and then move up to owning a magazine. I sort of know how I am going to get there. The art magazine would
  2. Marvel Studios – yes, you heard that right. I want to work for Marvel Studios. Why? Well, why the hell not? I love superheroes. I have a comic that I want to write. I would love to work at Marvel Studios or even Marvel Comics. Even if I start out at as a lowly intern. Why is it only second? (I mean, come on, it’s MARVEL.) The simple answer: I am realistic. Would this be my DREAM JOB? Oh yeah. I haven’t quite figured out how to get there yet.
  3. Radio show – yeah, this is a bit random, I’ll admit. I interviewed Heather and Poolboy from Alice 107.7 and this came in my head. That’s why it’s on the end of this list. Would it be fun? Oh yes. But my real passion is the art magazine/Marvel Studios.

So that’s my genius plan. Again, not set in stone. I’ll probably change my mind. Again. I tend to do that but who doesn’t?

Now, I have an OBSESSION with this song. It’s based off a book, which I haven’t read, but now I want to because of this song. Listen to it! Enjoy. I don’t know why she isn’t more famous…Here is “Red” by Beth Crowley. It’s beautiful and intense.

Seriously, listen to it. (I might be a pest. But I can picture a girl in a white dress as this song plays, and then – like the video – her dress slowly turns red and more like armor as she faces her enemies.)
